Arlene Somerton Smith

Arlene Somerton Smith is a television and video producer turned freelance writer who specializes in video scripts, speeches, and web content. She also writes short stories, and her work has been published in Descant and a Writer’s Digest compilation. When she isn’t writing, she can be found in her other happy place — her part-time job at the Ottawa Public Library. To her knowledge, no one in her family has ever tried to kill her.
